Recycle Used Printer Cartridges and Cell Phones

Witness Justice receives rebates from empty ink jet printer cartridges that are recycled. Recycling your personal or office ink jet cartridges is free, easy, and environmentally friendly!

Instead of throwing away used cartridges, place them in postage-paid self-sealing envelopes and mail them. That's it – there are no contracts, service agreements, or forms to fill out. Even if you use only a few cartridges per year, please consider participating! Witness Justice provides recognition on our heavily trafficked web site to companies, nonprofits and government agencies that participate.

To begin recycling your printer cartridges, simply email us at donations@witnessjustice.org or call 301-846-9110. The only information we need is your:

  1. name;
  2. complete mailing address; and
  3. e-mail address.

When your supply of envelopes gets low, just call or send us a quick e-mail and we will have more sent to you as soon as possible.

Recycling for Charities

Recycling for Charities logoDonate your old cell phone, PDA, digital camera, or iPod to be recycled and benefit the charity of your choice! RFC is a non-profit organization that is committed to protecting the environment while simultaneously raising funds for charity organizations. RFC accepts all models of wireless mobile cellular phones, PDA’s, iPods and digital cameras regardless of working condition. Don’t forget – your donation is tax deductable.

Simply go to the RFC homepage at http://recyclingforcharities.com/, click on “Donate Your Used Wireless Items to Charity,” choose Witness Justice as the donation recipient, complete the brief donor information page (or check “Donate Anonymously”), and print your shipping label so that you can easily mail your package of recyclable items and start supporting Witness Justice.

The more people who use the site and designate Witness Justice, the more money we'll earn, so please spread the word!

Donate a Car

You can help survivors of violence simply by donating your new or used car, no matter its condition. Donating a car is convenient, free, easy, and tax deductible. Simply complete the brief car donation form and either fax it to Witness Justice at 301-846-9113 or e-mail it to donations@witnessjustice.org, and we take care of the rest! A towing service will pick up the car, at your convenience, from any location within the United States and provide you with a donation receipt for tax purposes. Please note that you must be in possession of the car's title in order to donate a car.

Witness Justice recommends that you obtain the Kelley Blue Book value of your donated car, take photographs of the vehicle prior to towing, and consult with your financial advisor regarding the amount of tax deduction to claim to ensure compliance with IRS regulations.

Sell on e-Bay

Through the eBay Giving Works program, sellers can now auction unwanted or unused items on eBay and have some or all of the proceeds automatically sent to Witness Justice as a tax-deductible donation. eBay sellers simply register for free with MissionFish (which administers the program in partnership with eBay), select Witness Justice as their recipient nonprofit and specify the percentage of the winning bid they wish to donate. (MissionFish collects a $3 fee from the donation to support its operations and, for purchases made with credit cards, an additional 2.9 percent fee to cover bank processing charges. These fees are deducted from the donation; they are not assessed to the seller.)

When a seller donates 100 percent of the final sale price of an eBay Giving Works listing, and the item sells, eBay also donates its insertion and final value fees to Witness Justice!

For more information, please call 301-846-9110 or e-mail donations@witnessjustice.org.
